With an admiration of great designers and artists from varied genres, Nancy Osborne set out to create her unique line of handbags and accessories which would combine artistic edge with classic style.

Nancy first nurtured her creative abilities while attending the University of Nebraska at Lincoln where she obtained her BA in Textile Clothing and Design. Working in high-end shoe boutiques during her years at UNL led her to a deep fascination of footwear, handbag and accessory design. She took many courses and apprenticed with silversmiths and jewelry designers as well. Still, her passion was in footwear and handbags so she applied to Cordwainers College in London - where friends Jimmy Choo and Patrick Cox attended - was accepted and earned her BA in footwear and handbag design.

Then, in Long Beach, California in 2003, Jack Blue was started.

Now, Nancy Osborne makes her unique handbags out of her studio finding inspiration all over – magazines, travel, past and future designers, the leather houses, thrift stores. She is not afraid to use colors, patterns or textures. She loves the styles of Vivienne Westwood, Christian LaCroix, Society for Rational Dress, Alexander McQueen, Victor and Rolf, as well as Japanese designers.

Her one of a kind handbags and accessories have been sought after by men and women from all walks of life including Naomi Watts, Madonna, Paris Hilton, Jillian Barberry, Tyra Banks, Nick Cave and Dennis Hopper. Whether musician, actor/actress, artist or everyday citizen, the Jack Blue Handbag client is a testament to the quality and uniqueness that sets Nancy's work apart from the ordinary.
